Hexen
Hexen is a spirit led Craft-growing from seed- its Germanic
roots blending of formal black book/grimoric ceremonial
ritual-& folk/volk
ways-tempered and guided by the cunning flame of
congress
with Spirits traditional/non-traditional, ancestral/individually
specific/genii loci- terrestrially grounded-celestially pathed-
embracing the

Copper ring of Mahazuel for protection against his "deadly, fiery, and poisonous" Breath
…the Four Great Kings ruling in the Four Quarters, or
Cardinal Points, viz: East, West, North and South and are not to be called for
except it be upon Great Occasions…And the Kings may be bound from 9 til 12
o'clock at Noon, and from 3 till sunset…
Abramelin
Oriens: These four names of Oriens, Paimon, Ariton and
Amaymon, are usually allotted to the Evil Kings of the four quarters of the
World. Oriens, from Latin Oriens = rising or Eastern. This name is also written
Uriens, from Latin, Uro = to burn, or devour with flame. It is probably from
Uriens that a mediaeval title of the Devil, viz. "Sir Urien", is
derived. The Name is also sometimes written "Urieus," from Latin,
"Urios", a title given to Jupiter as presiding over the Wind. Uries
is also derivable from the Greek Adj. "Eurus, Eureia, Euru," meaning
vast or extensive. By the Rabbins he is also called SMAL, Samael, which is
derived from the Hebrew root SML, which means "a figure, image, or
idol". It is a name given in the Qabalah to one of the Chief Evil Spirits.
Paimon: Is
also frequently written "Paymon", and sometimes "Paimonia".
Probably from Hebrew root POMN, = a tinkling sound or small bell. This is again
derived from the Hebrew root POM, = to agitate, impel, or strike forward. The
word POMN is employed in Exodus 28, 34; 28, 33; and 39, 25. Paimon is also
called by the Rabbins by the title of OZAZL, Azazel, which is a name used in
Laviticus with reference to the Scape-Goat. Its derivation is from OZ, = a
Goat; and AZL, = to go away. It has frequently been warmly discussed whether
the word in question means simple the Scape-Goat, or whether it signifies a
Demon to whom that animal was dedicated. But in Rabbinic Demonology it is
always used to mean one of the Chief Demons.
Ariton: It
is also often called "Egyn," or "Egin". This name may be
derived from the Hebrew root ORH, = to lay bare, to make naked. It may also be
derived from the Greek word ARHRETON, + secret, or mysterious, in any sense
good or bad. Egin, may be derivable from Hebrew, OGN, = to delay, hinder, or
retard. There may also be a connection with the Greek Aix, AIGOS, = a Goat.
This Spirit is also called by the Rannins OZAL, Azael, from the root OZ, which
means both a Goat, and also vigour, vehemence of force; thus having partly the
same root as "Azazel".
Amaimon:
Also written frequently "Amaymon"; perhaps from the Greek word
MAIMON, present participle of MAIMAO; and A as an enforcing particle, hence
AMAIMON would mean "terrible violence and vehemence". This Spirit is
also called by the Rabbins MHZAL, Mahazael, perhaps from the root MZ, = to
consume, or devour. Amaymon is spoken of in the various mediaeval Magical works
as being a very potent Spirit, and the use of a ring, with Magical characters
to hold before the mouth while conversing with him, is recommended as a
protection against his deadly, fiery, and poisonous breath.
Weyer
deliberately omitted the information on Amaymon, but fortunately the Folger
manuscript includes it (p. 74):
"Amaymon R[ex] is of the South, & is greate & mighty, & he appeareth in the liknes of an old man with a greate bearde, his heres like to an horses heres he hath a bright crowne on his head & rideth upon a fierse lyon roringe, & he shaketh a rodd in his hand & his mini[sters] goe before hime with all manner of Instruments & musicke, & he commeth with other 3 kinges & he gladly doth receive sacrifice & burnt offrings & giftes he maketh aunswere to all thinges, & maketh a man wonderfull cunninge & experte in philosophie, & in the arte Notaria, & he giveth the best acquaintaunce with nobillitye, & confirmeth the doeings therof, as dignitie & promotion, he maye welbe kept in obedience one hower, duringe which tyme he maye be used, but let the maister turne into the South to receive him, & that gentelly & eke with pleasantnes, & declare unto him the thinge thou wouldest have taken in hand, & hold thou thy ringe upon thy face, & he will doe thy will, & call thou him in a fayer Ayer, or daye, & looke that thou have the ringe of Salomon, & the stolle & the ausipites or coronepes (?), He commeth with all manner invisibilitye, & a greate company with him, & there in be kinges i.e. Emlon, Ocarbydatonn, & Madyconn, these kinges be messengers of the kinge of the south."
I believe one of the best descriptions of the ring can be found in Sloane 3853 192r: "As for the rynge you must cause a hope [=hoop] to be cast of copper of an Inche broad wherin must be graven the ebrue [=Hebrew] letters of tetragrammaton with crosse, as here after dothe apere, with armorus spryts writtyn abowt it and well gylt. this rynge must be cast on a thursdaye in the [h]our of Iupiter & must be gylded in the [h]our of venus with Salomons seale and [..]tyn crosses as it dothe apere." I will see if I can post a scan of the accompanying figure, but the band shows "+ I H V H + / ORIENS . EGYN . / PAYMON . AMAYMON ." and the head or bezel has a pentagram with some characters around it. Another parallel text is in Sl. 3850 124v.

ORIENS, PAYMON, ARITON, and AMAYMON execute the Operations
hereof (Abramelin) by means of their Common Ministers.
Take the Symbol (Qamea) in your hand, place it under your
hat or cap, upon the top of your head, and you will be secretly answered by the
Spirit who will execute that which you wish.

Quotes regarding the StarCircle
"Every man and woman is a star."
~Aleister Crowley~
Notes on the Ritual of the Pentagram
You take one step with the right heel in the hollow of the left foot towards Tiphareth and vibrate the Divine Name as given in the ritual. You then carry round the point of the wand towards Netzach, then take a step again (always recovering after each forward step so that you remain in the centre) and vibrating the Divine Name as before.
Continue the process facing Yesod and vibrating; then Hod, and vibrating; but carry the point of the Wand round to Tiphareth so as to complete the circle.
As you vibrate the Divine Name the angels, as given in the ritual, appear (note that they should appear and if the ritual is properly performed do appear.)
You are thus standing in a Column which is protected by your microcosmic invocation. The consequent result, being macrocosmic response, is that without any effort on your part the hexagram or sixfold star appears both above and below you. (Note the equilibration of 5 = 6). In this way you are completely shut off from the outer and Qliphotic parts of the universe.
Get well into your mind the realization of this Column with its surrounding pentagrams and its hexagrams above and below you. Continuous practice is essential if you are to perform this ritual as you should. It is particularly important not to slur any part of it; to visualize clearly and cleanly the forces invoked, with the exception of the Divine Being, who will not appear, in the ordinary course of events, for such slight cause.
You can figure out for yourself the forms of the angels, or rather archangels. For instance, Raphael, commencing with an "R" will have a head of solar glory and the Peh which follows shows that the rest of him is martial: the "AL" which concludes the name (in the case of most angelic beings) indicates that they wield the sword and the balance.
THE DAUGHTER OF FORTITUDE
(received by Edward Kelley and Dr. John Dee) |
I am the daughter of Fortitude, and ravished every hour from my youth. For behold I am Understanding and science dwelleth in me; and the heavens oppress me. They cover and desire me with infinite appetite; for none that are earthly have embraced me, for I am shadowed with the Circle of the Stars and covered with the morning clouds. My feet are swifter than the winds, and my hands are sweeter than the morning dew. My garments are from the beginning, and my dwelling place is in myself. The Lion knoweth not where I walk, neither do the beast of the fields understand me. I am deflowered, yet a virgin; I sanctify and am not sanctified. Happy is he that embraceth me: for in the night season I am sweet, and in the day full of pleasure. My company is a harmony of many symbols and my lips sweeter than health itself. I am a harlot for such as ravish me, and a virgin with such as know me not. For lo, I am loved of many, and I am a lover to many; and as many as come unto me as they should do, have entertainment.
Purge your streets, O ye sons of men, and wash your houses clean; make yourselves holy, and put on righteousness. Cast out your old strumpets, and burn their clothes; abstain from the company of other women that are defiled, that are sluttish, and not so handsome and beautiful as I, and then will I come and dwell amongst you: and behold, I will bring forth children unto you, and they shall be the Sons of Comfort. I will open my garments, and stand naked before you, that your love may be more enflamed toward me.

Combination of the WitchBlood work & the StarCircle theories...to fully manifest my own 1734 energy current...
I will be working on incorporating the principles of the WitchBlood work in direct relation to the One-as WitchMother, the 3-as 3-faced angel as WitchFather, and the 4 Demon Kings as Famuluii, directly linked to the StarCircle principle of the 7 Planetary/Sefirotic elements into ONE cohesive working to fully manifest my own 1734 energy current..JPG)

Consecration of Golden Dawn Temple Tarot deck and box...
what I am doing
is utilizing an interpretative Four World painting scheme- the inside of the
box-White for Kether/Atziluth-as Archetypal Imagery-and the outside
Citrine/Olive/Black and Russet for the manifestational aspect of Assiah/and the
Active principles of practical applications of the Wisdom that the cards
present...
I am
fumigating the interior of the box in the essence of Spirit/Kether with
Ambergris, and the outside of the box in the essence of Earth/Malkuth with
Dittany of Crete, Poppy, and Patchouli- based upon the 'Essence of the
Spheres'from The Magical and Ritual Use of Perfumes by Richard Alan & Iona
Miller...
the outside
of the box will be painted in the Briah (Queen Scale) colors of
Malkuth-Citrine-AIR of EARTH (Hod & Netzach, Russet-FIRE of EARTh (Hod
& Yesod), Olive-WATER of EARTH (Netzach & Yesod), and finally
Black-EARTH of EARTH (Grounding in Malkuth)
Then-based on
the ADNI Formula for the GD Outer Order work-FIRE (Russet)-is Yod, WATER
(Olive) is Heh, AIR (Citrine) is Vah , and
EARTH (Black) is the final Heh - YHVH.
the
FIRE/Russet side will say: By Names & Images, the WATER/Olive side will
say: Are All Powers, the AIR/Citrine side will say: Awakened &, the
EARTH/Black side will say Re-Awakened...
Atop the
box-is the center will be a white Rose Cross sigil for the Tarot Angel HRU...
the bottom of
the tarot box is Black (Earth of Earth) Malkuth with the rose cross sigil of
Sandalphon. The inside of the tarot box is White (Spirit of Spirit) Kether with
the rose cross sigil of Metatron...
The consecration ritual is from Tarot Talismans by Chic and Tabitha Cicero

Golden Dawn Temple Tarot
Created by Nick Farrell, Harry & Nicola Wendrich
In the center of your temple or sacred space you will need an altar that faces East. On the Eastern side of the altar, place a black and white pillar candle (left and right respectively) and a small white votive candle just to the east of them. Place your unopened deck in the center. If the deck has been previously opened and used, before starting the ritual you should wipe each card with a clean white cloth that has been charged for that purpose.
Around your tarot deck, place the following: on the east side, the AIR dagger, on the south side- the FIRE Wand, on the west side-the WATER Chalice, and on the north side, the EARTH Pentacle.
Spend a few minutes in relaxed meditation. Then perform the LBRP.
Stand west of your altar, facing east. Trace a circle and a Lesser Banishing Pentagram over the unopened deck of cards.
With your Tarot Wand-strike or touch the deck three times and say:
"Eheieh. Yah, YHVH Elohim" (eh-hay-yay. Yah. Yod-heh-vav-heh. El-oh-heem)
With each stroke of the wand, intone one of these supernal names. Then say:
"Unto the highest do I (state your magical name) consecrate these cards of arte, that they may become true reflected images of thy manifestation and splendor. Not to my name but to thine be the power and the glory."
Trace a cross over the deck and say:
"In the divine name IAO (ee-ah-oh), I invoke the great angel Hru (heh-roo) who art set over the operations of this secret wisdom. Lay thine hand invisibly on these cards of arte and give them life. Anoint them with the divine science so that through their use I may obtain true knowledge of hidden things, to the glory of thy ineffable name. Amen."
Visualize the hand of a mighty angel over the deck glowing with a bright white light. The tarot deck should also be visualized in a brilliant halo of light.
Strike the tarot deck again three times with the Tarot Wand. Then visualize a great white light above you. Fill yourself with its divine power. Then project this energy directly at the deck using the Sign of the Enterer: do this projection 3x.
Then give the Sign of Silence.
Now open the deck and take out the cards. Fan the cards out in a circle on the altar. With your tarot wand, trace a cross in the air above the cards and say:
"By names and images are all powers awakened and re-awakened."
Thrust your wand head through the center of the cross.
Gather up the cards and place them in their tarot box. Then say:
"I now release any spirits that may have been imprisoned by this ceremony. Depart in Peace. Go with the blessings of Yeheshuah Yehovahshah" (yeh-hay-shoe-ah. Yeh-ho-vah-shah).
Perform the LBRP again.
Finally say:
"I now declare this temple duly closed."
The ritual is ended.
